I'm just trying to put the atom back together
Yay. I just got to see 'Quills' FINALLY. I kept trying to see it in the cinema but was repeatedly lame. Megs bought it this week and we all clustered to watch.
It was smashing! It was really... really quite good. I was very taken, and pleased by the less-than-Hollywood ending.
Geoffrey Rush again failed to disappoint, Kate Winslet was charming, and Joaquin Phoenix was scrummy and had a lovely cassock. (Tomorrow! Tomorrow I get my cassock so I should sleep sometime before then.)
I was amused to hear them use O Verona in the trailer, as it is essentially a paean/homage/spoof of O Fortuna, the most overused piece of music in movie trailers ever.
