Oh yeah. I meant to talk about stuff I've been reading. Seems like as good a place as any for that. I finally finished 'The Sheep Look Up' which was really amazingly well done in a sort of emotional punch to the solar plexus fashion. In the middle of rereading 'Water for Chocolate' which is warm and intimate and sort of comforting. I need to read the story about PoohSticks to Megs just because. I got the new episode of HellBoy: Conqueror Worm which is amazingly cool and I wish I had some self control because I'm buying the monthly installments and will probably buy the combined graphic novel too. Speaking of which, the first Top Ten graphic novel came out, and so I'm going to stop buying the monthlies and just buy the GNs. I love Top Ten. In general, I love Alan Moore. I want more League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Apparently there's talk of a movie. With the Hellboy movie and 'From Hell' both in production, this is not as far fetched as one might think. I'm going back and reading the old copies I have of 'Years Best Fantasy and Horror' so that (a) I make sure I've read all the ones I have and (b) I can glean any plot ideas out of them to cannibalise for RP later. (:
This is just the pleasure reading, which doesn't take into account the technical writing, HTML, networking and assorted other hitek geek texts I'm stabbing at repeatedly.
Okay, I'll come back later and expand on 'this is cool' entries for the stuff I'm reading for fun, but it'll be another time when I want to write rather than crawl into bed and listen to Sarah McLachlan on infinite loop.
