"Why did you move here?" She said "For the job."
So mail has been sent, attention must be paid. But maybe not today, since it's a Friday. Monday I will call them and ask about the job, but I'm not prepared to be that invasive yet.
The company is called ESP, and they make 'environmental software'--it's sort of bookkeeping programmes to help corporations adhere to the Clean Air Act restrictions by making it more fun, like a card-trading game or something. I not only really need a job, I'd really like to work for this company. It'd be like an hour commute, but to Los Altos which makes an effort not to be an ugly industrial park.
Today I decorated the bed more--I dragged out the scarves and drapey stuff--the blue lights are screened by this electric blue thing my housemate had borrowed during the move, the huge filmy gold thing takes up an entire length of the canopy frame, and there's lots of black everywhere because I'm such a big goth. Oh, and the velvet scarf that lovely Marith made for me with all the lovely colours. It is far more suited for hiding and lurking in now--it is much more separate from the room.
No scarves at the foot of the bed, because right now the big candelabra is there, and I think it would be in poor taste to dangle pretty silken scarves over open flame.
While I was browsing the Dar Williams interest group, I found babydyke13x who has been reminding me far too much of what it was like to be in high school. Being LDS in a rather areligious environment, and a punk with questions about my sexuality and a gnawing need to attach to somebody else. I don't miss it a bit.
