Coyote News Update

I cannot recall who it was that gave me my copy of "Pirates! In an adventure with Scientists!" but I'm suspecting Leigh Ann, Ellie, or Angie. Regardless, it's a movie now! So I'll have to see it.

Also?
I don't wanna be hip and cool.
I don't wanna play by the rules.

It was E--, because she mentioned needing to go see the movie (and I may be 'dragged' to it :)

Saw the movie while I was out today, in fact. It's...not Aardman's best work; the jokes just don't come as snappily as they did in (for instance) The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. But there are some pretty cute visual gags, and of course, lots of little details worth noticing in the background. They seem to have especially taken a page or three from the Pythons this time around; Brian Blessed even makes an appearance (and has his name show up in a particularly clever visual gag). So, yeah. Worth a matinee, anyway. :)

Thank you!
By chance, do you know if it bears any resemblance to the book?

No idea there, I'm afraid. The closest exposure I've had to the book is seeing the cover on the "New Arrivals" shelf at Hastings shortly before seeing the movie. :)

If I'm not hip and cool and I don't play by the rules, I think that only leaves serial killer.
