This one goes out to the one I love

I am savoring the delicious delicious irony. Props go out to Tersa. Of course, my first thought on the matter was 'Hey! They should call Gray Davis! He's had a lot of experience with blackouts!'

As requested, I am posting the text of a recent letter. Yesterday, I had a Dan Rydell moment; a letter arrived in the post from Senator Clinton, asking me for my money for the DNC to assist in pushing forward meaningful social change in America. And I responded, despite knowing that the 'no postage neccessary when mailed in the US' meant that I would be FOOTING THE GOD DAMN BILL. *sigh* And I said:
Dear Senator:
The DNC has dug its own pit here, through ruthless compromise and selling out the people it is supposed to represent in a grand attempt to seize the middle of the road. If the Democratic party were not a neccessary evil to counter That Other Party, I would happily set Tom Daschle on fire and dance around him with a marshmallow stick. (DNA suggested that I append this with a note indicating that the fire and the stick were purely metaphorical.)
Thank you for your consideration,
Cyrano Jones

So tonight I may either go discover the joys of Viet Namese cuisine with Jenny, or attend Liz + Jon's ice cream social, or watch goofy witch movies at Chez Femme II: Eclectic Boogaloo, or stay at home and rip more CDs.

I think that covers just about everything, besides a congratulations to Guillermo on his graduation and acceptance into college.

Did you actually mail that letter?

Technically, not yet. It's sitting on the pile of 'things to take downstairs and deal with if I ever leave the house today' like the recycling.

Do mail the letter. It will scare the crap out of some young volunteer staffer, and maybe save him from a life in politics.

Vietnamese food = good.
