So I'm looking at a pair of black knee-length socks to wear with the schoolgirl uniform. Not sure whether I like the look or not. Anybody have any thoughts on whether this is appropriate/effective costume? Should I just go with white ankle socks? Or go with black hose?

I'm not spending $40 on a pair of shoes I'll only wear the one night. I looked into the china flats, but then realized that I couldn't dance in them. At all. It would hurt too much. So I'm probably going to stick with the work boots. I'll be an ass-kicking kinda-punk schoolgirl. She's got pretty short hair, as it is.

I think that the black knee-length socks would be fine, since it's in the fall (dark footwear traditionally being worn after Labor Day). Hose, however, strike me as being too adult... :-)

Hrm. So once the hosiery issue is dealt with, all I have to do is find somebody with a camera (for Jess) and perhaps somebody with make up skillz. (Nothing over the top, just a healthy glow, you know.)
Oh--I called Debbie today. I need the extra money enough that I'm going back for a third Hallowe'en.

(As a side-effect, you might even get to meet the Spawn, who will be visiting sometime around the holiday, provided he's at least a week old at the time. First Spawn are apparently notorious for ignoring the nice provided schedule, though...)
