I'd prefer you behind the wheel and me the passenger

So I tried to go to San Francisco tonight, to go to Sin.
Rather, I went to San Francisco and tried to park.
After 45 minutes of failing to find a place, and repeatedly getting lost, I found myself inexplicably on 280. And because I was tired and irritated and anxious and getting nauseous and frustrated and my CD had started skipping, I decided it was the omen that would send me home, after spending two hours in the car for no good reason.
I do not like driving in San Francisco.
I do not like it, Sam I Am.

Also, saw user LadySylkie in a comment list today--Port Angeles bi poly goth teacher SCA--and I get the impression I know her from somewhere. Dunno where though.

Wow. Lots of postings today.

I was invited to go to Sin, because a friend of mine was spinning there (she spun between 9-10) but declined because I was super tired and didn't feel like going out.

And yeah, finding parking in the City is a bitch, I've started just parking in public garages and paying the fee.

Alas, it's not just parking. I hate driving. With the white hot intensity of a thousand suns. And yeah, I passed a couple of parking lots--one that looked like it was full--but was in the wrong lane and when I tried to circle back the first time I got lost and the second time was when I ended up on 280.
Who's your friend? (Her DJ name.)

I'm afraid, especially with events after dark, that I need to quit assuming I can do it myself and work harder to arrange transportation.

Port Angeles, Washington? I went to high school there.

Sympathies on the driving. I'm lucky -- I like driving, and even enjoy driving in S.F. though it's easier with an automatic than a stick.

So did your CD player start working properly once you turned back homewards?

Once I stopped driving on the crappy City of San Francisco streets, it became far more co-operative, yeah.
