So I finally heard a selection from 'Wicked the Musical'. It reminds me a lot of Charlie Smalls, writing for Dorothy Mills in The Wiz, oddly enough. (I'm sure there were two parts in the song, but alas the voices are so similar I'd have to be able to understand the lyrics to tell who is singing when.)

Which song did you hear?
Once you're a bit more familiar with the actresses singing, it's a bit easier to tell the voices apart. :p Idina Menzel was Elphaba (Witch of the West), and she originated Maureen in RENT, if that helps a little...
I've got the whole album if you want to hear more...
And the show itself is on tour and will be in town August 4th through September 4th. (We have like 14 tix for Tuesday August 9th). I'd recommend seeing it, as it is AMAZING!!! :)
