I wanna bite the hand that feeds me
In the spirit of our friend Skippy the Marine, I have stolen from roisnoir the list of 250 things Mr. Welch can no longer do during an RPG.
Trying to be healthy and eat better and stuff is very hard. The worst part of it is that it seems to take the tiniest slip to wipe out weeks of work. I screwed up my back last weekend and haven't been back to the gym since. Last night I had about fifty ounces of caffeinated beverage to stay coherent until quitting time. And all of that is amazingly bad for me. Like mind bogglingly so.
I think I'm going to try and go to Florida again on 18 September for opening night of the hockey season. I should have some time off saved up by then. I'm seriously debating actually buying a ticket; I don't know if that's when kids go back to school, or if there will be a sudden last minute rush on Disneyworld or something, and then I wouldn't have to worry with anything beyond the minimum in stupid schedule fuckery. And I think I can budget that if I decided to take that path. Plus I'd get frequent flier miles. Which I'd probably give to the housemate.
Just finished 500 Years After and enjoyed it--now I can move on to something else that will infect my speech patterns--and was totally surprised by the end although I'm sure that if I'd been watching the timeline or something I wouldn't have in the least but holy crap WARNING SPOILER GOES HERE RIGHT HERE holy crap Adron's disaster holy crap the Interregnum MOVE ALONG NOTHING TO SEE HERE MOVE ALONG.
Also getting caught up on the new Doctor Who. Snobby me wants better quality recordings. (: And it's not giving me ideas for my campaign; in fact I'm annoyed that they stole one of my ideas. Oh, and SPOILER HERE TOO FORGOT ABOUT THIS ONE LOOK OUT I'm really amused by how the Guelph guilted the Doctor into helping them just by *mentioning* the Time Wars. I'm keen to find out (a) what they are (b) if that was deliberate or merely convenient. OKAY NO MORE SPOILERS I PROMISE OOOO LOOK! MONKEYS!

I have the first two books of the "Count of Adrilanka" trilogy, which is the 'third part' of the Phoenix Guards 'Trilogy', if you would like to continue to infect your speech patterns.

And yes, I would like to borrow them. I should have those book sleeves made soon so they can travel in relative safety.

I have been told a certain Egg of our acquaintance has better copies, I expect she could be convinced to share. If not I'll be buying the released versions as soon as they come out...

Oh dear...BTW, the guilt thing is one of the defining characteristics of this particular incarnation of the Doctor. You'll see what I mean in the coming episodes as well. If there were a slightly manic god of survivor's guilt he'd be it.

Trouble is, I can't burn dvds from my laptop. Though, I hear Harold has burned dvds successfully...
