Watching High Fidelity again before work. Damn. Nick Hornby. John Cusak. Stephen Frears. SO good. Chick flick for guys. Okay, time to leave. However, have to finish the painful scene with Beverly D'Angelo.
mmmmh... John Cusack... I have always had such a crush on him, ever since Say Anything. Just like every other teen girl, I suppose. But dayum, the man's hot.
Yeah, same here. Except I think my first film was The Sure Thing. I remember the girl from Journey of Natty Gann talking about how jealous all her friends were.
LOL yeah. actually my fave Cusack is Grosse Pointe Blank, with Identity as the runner-up. There's this one thing he does in Identity that just kicks my ass...
I rememeber enjoying Identity up until the ending.
In general, I find myself a bigger fan of his eighties work--Tapeheads, Sure Thing, Better Off Dead, One Crazy Summer--but that may be a function of the fact that these were the first of his films I saw. I wanted someday to do a John and Joan festival--Sixteen Candles, Grosse Pointe Blanke, High Fidelity.
