Instant Karma's gonna get you

The SF Chronicle says that former South Carolina congressman Frank Ballance was convicted on charges of misdirecting public funds to his law firm and family through a faux 'charity' that he established. A quarter million, according the Chron, will be returned to the good taxpayers of his state.
I am, however, unable to find any corroboration of this on cnn.com news.bbc.co.uk or the web in general.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for the forces of darkness to be defeated and the warriors of good to triumph.

The specific URL points to a 'page no longer found' error, but the substitution of 'North' for 'South' certainly is helpful, and many corroborating articles showed up under the new search. I apparently failed to read carefully enough.

Really? That URL works for me--may be browser-dependent, given my inability to close my tags properly. Is this better?

Dammit. The bastards STILL win. According to the Post article, he funneled two and a half MILLION dollars of public monies into his own or cronies' pockets. And he's going to have to give back almost a quarter of a million. That's... almost ten percent. Which for a church-going fellow is a good tithe. People suck. And I hate them.

Mmmm. See if it at least helps to enjoy the irony of someone lying about their financial records who's named "Frank Ballance".

Hmmmmmmm......

.....

Nope. Not even a little.
