Quick note for those of you who don't live with me, I'm feeling achey and congested and am still going to try to get errands done, but am making no guarantees. I'm on a CD ripping kick, and have already this weekend gone from Kiss to KMFDM, with a stop off at Cheryl Crow, No Doubt, American Wedding, Sequentia, Social Distortion and the Futureheads.
For those who don't clock the Whedonverse RSS, Mr. Brust has apparently completed the first revision of a Firefly novel for Pocket books 'on spec' and has submitted it. Apparently there are about a dozen authors competing for two slots Pocket has open.

I am going to have to snitch your Social Distortion. I *thought* I saw a CD for that out and about; and I hadn't heard of them before finding out during a Sharks game that my boi Scott Thornton, who I share a good deal of my musical tastes with, is a big fan of that band. The two combined is enough to make me interested to give them a listen.

I really like the sound--it's kind of that '50s troublemaker rock--and played the hell out of them when I was working at the station. (:
I didn't rip the whole album on this one, so I'll hold off on returning it to the library and continue looking for whichever album has 'King of Fools' on it.
