Those Cats were fast as lightning

So far, a productive weekend.
I have played a supporting role in saving Zion from ... whatever the bad guys in the Matrix are called. And also a supporting role in saving Middle Earth from Sauron. I still have no idea why in the final battle I was suddenly teleported across the countryside to stand on the Black Tower underneath the All Seeing Eye. I just know it sucked. A lot. (And PS Tersa, I was at 97 percent completed.) So two more video games I need no longer feel a compulsive need to finish.
I have not yet bothered to sleep. Got a whole load of dishes done. Also five new mix discs completed. Check the bottom of Vitamin Cyrano's Evil Laboratory. I went through and added links to liner notes, so folks who find mis-spelled words or broken HTML please feel free to let me know. There was a lot of overlap, having a bunch done at once, and I decided not to bother trimming it all. Generation X+1, Sick and Wrong, REMixed, and Good for You!

I spent like a jillion hours playing Unreal Tournament 2004. I should NEVER have invested in a new game computer. It's gonna end up costing me a lot more than money...

Is there even an 'end' to that game? I at least can save the world or whatever and don't always feel like I have to go back and try it again with a new tactic or new variant.

Yeah. It's a big giant tournament ladder.

I hope I'm at the top of the list (or near it anyway) for a copy of "Sick and Wrong". If I wasn't before, please feel free to lie to me about it now because I must have a copy of this mix. I really must.

Hee. In fact, you are mentioned specifically in the write up on the laboratory page under that disc. Well, you and your sister. You and Rose are sort of obligated, in fact, since you incited the thing.

I never got into video games -

though Erik loves some of them. I have wasted a fair number of hours playing different games on my computer, but those complicated Sony controllers discourage me.

It certainly ramps up the learning process, especially when they decide that they have more commands than controllers and start stacking them--Okay, in order to duck, you have to press 'X' and 'L1', but in order to duck and peek around corners, you'll need to press 'Y' and 'L1' and the 'start' button..... (augh!)

Well, you already know which ones I want, but the covers clinched it. The S&W cover is brilliant and GenX+1 made me laugh and laugh.

Hee! You're one of the folks I thought would dig that. Plus any Stars fans, Flyers fans, hockey slash writers, or just those who love Love. (: You might also dig Good for You, although mostly I was thinking of foisting a copy onto Raven and Jake.
(There's a polka on S+W that made me think of you and your northern roots while I was putting things together....)

Hey, if you think I'd like it, I'd love a copy; always looking for more driving music, and mixes are just a great into to lots of music in general.

PS--sorry about today being all insane and busy and stuff. The week after Thanksgiving, maybe? It also turns out that I'm coming down with something, in that I'm the phlegmiest thing ever, my throat's all kinds of sore, and my lymph nodes are swollen way huge. Don't even know if I'll make it to lab, at this rate (biking while sick=not fun), so it's for the best that you're not exposed.

[identity profile] cyranocyrano.livejournal.com 2005-11-14 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
So you're sure you don't need a nursemaid? (:
*hugs* Get bette. And don't worry about not being ready for a last minute 'hey are you busy' thing. Week after Thanksgiving sounds tempting. Who's your sleepy cat?

[identity profile] aelfsciene.livejournal.com 2005-11-14 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not actually so good with the nursemaid thing, actually; doing it for people is one thing, but being the recipient just feels weird. And I'm going to take the downtime to churn through as much of my chemistry backlog as possible, with breaks for sewing (and maybe Alias, if I'm being naughty).

It does feel like it should be as overcast and gloomy as I feel, but it's a gorgeous, bright, sunny day.

I don't think there should be any class madness by the 28th, so let's at least tentatively plan for that. And the cat is Kage, because it's the closest I have to a sleepy icon!

I must have Sick + Wrong, and Generation X + 1. Er, please. What may I trade for it? Would you like a custom man-purse? New costumage? A hat? A pterodactyl? Chris and I are your biggest fans, given that we actually listen to your mixes frequently, and with great pleasure.

[identity profile] cyranocyrano.livejournal.com 2005-11-14 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Hrmmm. You know, the holiday time fast approaches. (: We may not even have to trade. Happy JesusDay!
