The moon is on ice. It smiles from above.

So I spent about forty-five minutes sitting on the couch as the sky (and the apartment) darkened, watching the moon as it travelled from the horizon across the patio door, just moonbathing. And I came to the conclusion that I'm tired of spending $40 a month to not go to the gym. Time for a concentrated effort to get back on the working out wagon. You may have seen complaining on other friends' LJs about how fat they are, so I won't get into it. But yeah.
And one of my legion of beautiful fans tactfully brought to my attention that All Tomorrow's Parties is not, in fact, a Joy Division song but a Velvet Underground song. Therefore it would likely not go on an album of covers of '80s songs. Like, say, Generation X+1. I am not certain yet whether I'm going to try and pull it and replace it or just pretend that I meant to do it that way. I might be able to pull up another cover out of my library, but I already pulled pretty much everything I could think of.

Good for you!

I'm glad that you will be going back to the gym ;-) While you seemed to be sore more often, you also seemed happier when you were working out regularly.

Really? There was some sort of noticable difference? This is good to know.

I thought so. You seemed happier most of the time, and it seemed like you had more energy.

Though, I was spending more time with you then, wasn't I? *giggle*

Ooo - The Wedding Singer Soundtrack has The Presidents of the USA covering "Video Killed the Radio Star". t.a.T.u. covered "How Soon Is Now". Your new discs disappeared from the page, so I can't see what you already have on them. I can get you either of those, if you want.

(Hrmm. Disappeared? That doesn't bode well.)
Actually, both of those sound cool. Can you loan them to me until I can get to Rasputin's or something to grab a copy?

[identity profile] cyranocyrano.livejournal.com 2005-11-17 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Any chance you could post them to YSI or something?

[identity profile] lil-m-moses.livejournal.com 2005-11-18 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Sorry about that - I spazzed the first night, and then saw you post about burning the mixes, so figured you had something else sorted out. I haven't used YSI before, but it's just as easy for me to stick it up on my webspace temporarily. I'll go rip .wavs and do that now. And burn you a few DVDs while I'm at it...

I could probably have worked something... (: When I get home tonight I'll DL those two. (Woo! Prezzies!)

Did I send you my library of 80s covers and remixes? I can't remember...

[identity profile] cyranocyrano.livejournal.com 2005-11-15 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I am fairly certain you did not. Is it time for another trade? (:

It must be! We'll coordinate over e-mail. :-) carabosse at comcast dot net

If you still need something, I can no doubt look over my library and come up with something appropriate. Let me know.

I'm always up for more. (: Aim for more 'alternative' originals--worse to worst, I find something borderline and move it off the Top 40 disc and add Ofra Haza's cover of Open Your Heart by Madonna.
