For those of you who have flown on United Express at SFO and taken the little bus out to the remote terminal, those are soon to become fond and nostalgic moments. Slowly on the phase out for the past month, they should be history by the 20th. For me, this means more work and spending about half an hour more every day getting to work, but probably only about fifteen minutes more getting home.
Today has been 'eat crappy' day, including a couple of trips to In&Out where they screwed up my order for fries animal style both times. I'm tired and sore and cranky and I think I'm going to take a long hot bath or just go to bed.
I watched Sky High, and it was cute and had the usual comforting familiar plot and gaping plot holes. The high point was probably the soundtrack, with bands covering '80s songs. I was disappointed with TMBG, surprizingly, and annoyed by Bowling For Soup once again trying to convince us that they're just as wacky and fun loving as the Monkees. But what made me smile was the track sung by the actor playing the rebel tough guy, Stephen Strait. Three wags--brain candy and not an awful way to spend ninety minutes, plus it's good to see Kurt Russel working for the Mouse again and to see the Kids in the Hall working at all.

why phased out will everything leave from the main terminal?

Yeah, all Express flights will now go out of the thumb that used to have the 'Shuttle by United' flights.

Ah. Net Net, that is probably easier for customers, but it probably represents a net cutback in # of flights.

I would it were. No, we're losing ... over ten gates, and we are seeing (as of yesterday) an increase in the number of flights. However, yes, it is easier for the customers and they are saving a lot of money by not paying to rent that outer building.
