Just like me, they long to be

Just saw Mirrormask. Very pleased with it. Yes, it reminded me a lot a lot a lot of Labyrinth, but with a less commanding charismatic badguy presence. Really love the art direction. So pretty. And weird. And striking. I kept thinking of 'Tool' videos. And the song 'Close to You' just got even *more* creepy than it was before. Angie and Ellie? I must have either missed the line you caught, or I'm just not as aware of myself as I think I am. Trying to decide if I'm very fond or not crazy about the score. And punky goth girls are still really hot.

Really, it was the moment when the Little Hairy Guy came in and said, "Riiiiiiiiight," in exactly your tone of voice. I couldn't possibly tell you where it happened in the story, but I remember it actually happening, at least. o.O

Oh yes! I do remember that bit--it's while Valentine is trying to pretend he's not there.
I think my favorite line is when she curses the book: "Nasty, poorly paced book with a soppy ending that I didn't believe in for one minute!"
