And Mama I'm depending on you to tell me the truth

I made a casserole last night. Pasta, tomato sauce, mushrooms, cheese, whatever was close at hand. One of the simplest meals one can make and still say one cooked.
And I am very smug about it.
AngieDust has been transformed into a ravening puck-chasing hockey freak. And I am smug because I feel directly responsible for it.
Today, for some reason, I find it remarkably easy to feel smug about trivial and inconsequential things. I have decided to enjoy it while I can.

Feeling smug about trivial and inconsequential things is the first step to being amused by trivial and inconsequential things, which is a step (IMO) to being generally happy.

So, here's to steps!

This 'being smug' thing is something that happens to normal people?

Well, I'm not normal, but I feel smug about inconsequential things.

Oh sure. I'm quite smug that they finally put a new ceiling fan in my flat yesterday.

I am often smug. Sometimes not glaringly so, as it tends to annoy the grouchy.

Whether I'm normal enough for your demographic purposes I'll leave to your judgement. (If you care to hired a bevy of redheaded co-eds to do your bidding in this matter, I shant complain.)
