And oh yeah! I forgot I wanted to include this one.
Matt Johnson, the guy who pretty much *is* The The, is one of those kinds of Christians who helps me remember that they're not all hypocritical raving Jesus freaks, and that most Christians are good people who just don't make good press because they're not insane.
He did a tribute album to Hank Williams (the senior) called Hanky Panky and one of my favorite tracks off it is called I Saw the Light.

EDIT: poop. I had meant this to go to the Audiography community. (: But you all should also enjoy it too. This week's theme, in case you hadn't guessed, is gospel.

Hrmmm. I'm not sure now, and I can't find any confirmation to support my views. And I can't recall why I got the idea.
But I'd say that ripping on people who call themselves Christian and then do amazingly unChristian things is very 'Jesus and the Money Changers', and so doesn't preclude his being of the faith.

He pretty much rips on every religion on that album and all of the horrible things done in the name of religion, so I can't imagine it at all. 'Tis one of my all time favorites.
