I've decided after last Friday's debacle at the eye doctor (2 hours there, 15-20 minutes of that seeing anyone, and no reading material other than the vitamins doc's hucking on the side) that I'll have one of my books (Neuromancer, ATM) living in my bag that I take to work, and the library book at home by the bed.
Well, I started out the work day with Sunday's Monday's and Tuesday's newspaper. And the current book of choice is Neal Stephenson's "Tome the Size of a Particularly Large Dog", volume two of his "Tree Frightener" trilogy. Which does fit into my bag but tends to make the suspension of my car complain.
More like historical fiction meets scientific history, so that's where I got "historical science fiction." It's historical, it's science, and it's fiction!

This one's pretty much the closest I get to classy.
