Stay awake, don't close your eyes

Yes, 4am and still up. Yes, I got about five hours of sleep last night.
WTF? WTFF?
Ah, well. I'm through the K's in assembling my KBVR and '80s assemblages. And it looks like it's a good thing I bought a DVD burner. These things may not fit on a CD.
And I got to see Banlieu 13 tonight, which was quite enjoyable. I was a little concerned, given that it's a Besson film and the last thing I saw from him was 5th Element. But this has redeemed him.
Also stopped by Safeway tonight, and it was like locusts hit it. Rose? This kept making me think of consumer emergency hurricane prep. But anything with a sale tag on it was gone. Buy twenty get one free? All gone. I got the last two packages of tofu in the entire store. And they were both silky. Boo. No mushrooms to be had for love nor money. The list goes on. I was disoriented by the whole thing. PErhaps that's what's keeping me awake--the haunting memory of the empty shelves where mushrooms should be.

Hey, I like 5th Element! :)

Some people do, and I say 'go you!' I'm a man who readily admits to variance in tastes, and can say "This is something I did not enjoy, but that does not mean it is of no worth."
However, this does not apply to people who like the Star Wars prequels. They are all freaks who should be sterilized for the good of the gene pool.

I enjoyed 5th Element the first time I saw it. I was also drunk off my ass. Watching it sober was a different experience, but it still has a fond place in my heart as a fun piece of skiffy fluff.

Clearly there's a disaster coming, and as usual the animals have shopped early.

The animals know.

Rose? This kept making me think of consumer emergency hurricane prep.

I can see that. Of cus, with hurricane prep, water is the first thing to go, followed shortly by canned goods. Perishables not so much, especially after we had 4 storms in 6 weeks. People got very tired of losing everything in the fridge and restocking, only to lose it all again a week later.
