Hyperironic moment of the day:
On my way to TJ's for groceries* I passed the San Antonio Shopping Center Sears which is apparently closing its doors forever and is having a big closeout sale. And up there right next to the big banner that said "Everything Must Go!" is a slightly (only slightly) smaller banner that says "Now Hiring".

*Chili did not, I feel, turn out as well this time. Didn't use hummus, but also forgot to buy the block of tofu.

I thought it was fine, but I crumbled up one of the cornbread muffins to thicken it.

You should eat one. Or more. Since I have no chili of my own, I likely won't be able to eat all 10 of them before they go bad.

Thank you. I may also become fonder of it once it's sat in the refrigerator for two or three days; I am of the opinion that this is a good thing to do to chili.
