And only ten years too late. Which, on a geological scale, isn't bad.

Top executives from ten of the nation's largest companies, including PG&E, GE, DuPont and Alcoa, are urging President Bush to fight global warming by limiting greenhouse gasses. Because apparently the idea has transformed from 'a left-wing conspiracy theory to shut down business' to an actual potential dangerous (and co$tly) problem.

Runners up include the people who are just now discovering about how radical Sunnis and radical Shias want to blow each other up, even if they get democracy and McDonalds, and will blow up people who get in their way.

The Camel Burger? Or maybe The Big Goat. (Just trying to be constructive.)

I was actually pleasantly surprised hearing about this because most of us long ago said that climate change would hurt business as much as people, ala Hurricane Katrina. It's nice to see the last horse cross the finish line.

I was listening to the radio this morning (hey, some channels play music) and the morning hosts were on the air ragging on "An Inconvenient Truth" with all the mental acumen of a couple of ten year olds. Any time they'd receive a phone call or email trying to educate them they'd mock it and laugh it off. I had to wonder how it feels to be so profoundly uncurious and uneducated and yet so certain of one's intellectual superiority. I suspect it changes they way they experience the entire world, maybe they taste colors and see sounds, it would explain so much.
