cyrano: (writing)

I can make it longer if you like the style

I'm stuck at work. I just want to go home and write. By the time I get done with work, I'm just going to want to go to bed.
The sad part is, if I went home now I probably wouldn't write.

Write at work?

Enh. If I were doing something short, like an LJ rant, yes. But (a) it's too involved and I can only concentrate on it for about five minutes at a time on average and (b) I can get busted. The atmosphere is not good for that here. If it were a job like clerking at a convenience store or sitting behind bullet proof glass at a petrol station, where I didn't have to actually engage my brain in what was going on, then maybe.
There's a (c) but it's basically me whining about transferring data from format to format.
However, I am trying to think of a name and designing a cover. (:

A likely story. Only sissies need a keyboard (or paper) to write. :-)

Have you never met me? I'm a great big sissy. And what I need more than a keyboard is some quality concentration time. I am not Stephen King.

I know for me the more time I have to write the less likely I am to do it. Right now I have zero time but am plagued by the Vicious Plot Bunny of Caer Bannog and thus am regularly praying for red lights so I have a few seconds to jot down a particularly juicy bit of dialogue. I had to force myself to stop thinking about it last night to get to sleep.
