cyrano: (Address Me)

Is there room in your life for one more trip to the moon?

It's Friday! That means You Should Ask Me A Question!
With the new job, I will not be answering questions so much during the day, so it'll instead be something I do over the weekend. Which means that your question will age, like fine wine or cheese, and be *that much better*.
IFAMAQ!

Is love that will not last worth going through?

[identity profile] cyranocyrano.livejournal.com 2007-05-28 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing lasts--everything dies, and that is the way of it. Without death, birth is meaningless. So of course it's worth going through.

What is truth?

[identity profile] cyranocyrano.livejournal.com 2007-05-28 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Truth is found within every person, and in a different place. Your truth is not her truth. There may be a great deal of resemblance, however, and so comparisons are not without validity.

If I like green peppers more than mushrooms, why does mushroom pizza taste better than green pepper?

[identity profile] cyranocyrano.livejournal.com 2007-05-28 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
Green peppers do hinky things when heated. And also when added to cheese. It's not their fault, but it means that the fungus is a better choice.

Oh, I have a second one, if you would be so kind, O IIFAMAQ answer-er person..

Is orange the new red?

[identity profile] cyranocyrano.livejournal.com 2007-05-28 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Orange is a color that ought not be worn near the face. Or near impressionable children. Or near flamable liquids. Or near the holidays.

A stranger calls you up with a wild story about how he's you twenty years ago, and asks if his cynicism and world weariness is justified, and for good stock choices.

How do you answer this call?

[identity profile] cyranocyrano.livejournal.com 2007-05-28 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Do I remember making this call twenty years ago? And if so, did I find the answer worthwhile? If so, then I tell him he has a lot of catching up to do on the cynicism front, because there are going to be some prodigious players on the field. And then I tell him that the stories of Apple's demise are greatly exaggerated.
