Was the link supposed to make Bruce Springsteen blast through my headphones? If so, then it worked.

(Appropriate song choice, there. Didn't Reagan completely misuse it as his campaign song?)

I think they were intermissing at midnight, and Bruce was definitely one of the DJ's choices. The evening was themed on Independence Day, so they played him and Neil Diamond and James Brown and whoever they could think of. (:

And yes, Reagan did. And very few people noticed it was a poor choice, because they didn't hear any of the words except the chorus. Kind of like when the Governor of New Jersey wanted to use 'Born to Run' as the state song.

Sorry, to be more informative, that's a link to the performance I mentioned attending last night. I'm trying to find a non-streaming source for it. And I think I might have.

did you pass?

[identity profile] cyranocyrano.livejournal.com 2007-07-05 07:25 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure yet. I downloaded the file and I'm trying to import it to Audacity.

I get sound but no picture or text.

That sounds promising, then...

works, sound only (it was an mp3 link)

Yeah, the video is a live-only gig, the archives are in audio only. But they're also streaming, and I was trying to see if I could find a way to turn them into something I could listen to offline.

My browser downloaded it, and then opened it. I pasted the URL into a streaming app, and it worked.
