So I have a wedding to go to next month, and I'm doing my prep stuff so I'm all ready to go and there are no nasty surprizes. And I find that plane tickets to Santa Barbara are about $300, and so I decide that's exorbitant and I'll just drive the length of California, maybe down Highway One. And I am, perhaps, a week or two into this planning function before it occurs to me that the wedding ceremony is in La Jolla, ten miles from San Diego.
Ninety dollar air fare, on an airline I have a mileage plan with.

I think all we need to do is stop naming every city in the state so that the first three letters are always identical.

Not much we can do about it now. The Catholic Spanish got the naming rights too long ago.

BTW, Oakland is the largest city in CA without a Spanish name.

Really, that is what it is in Spanish. I am hoping you can come early and play with us, even if it is just a day early. Larry has places he wants to take you, and I'll just tag along, look pretty and imput a clever comment here and there. That oughta work
