Dammit.
I'd managed to completely avoid Book Seven spoilers by, pretty much, not caring and not bothering to read much of anything that anybody posted.
And then.
The god damned Daily Show.
Who would have thought? And Ron, how could you?

(EDIT: Actually, I did not *completely* avoid spoilers. I was spoiled early on as to the title *and* the author. God Damned Barnes & Noble, why do you take such joy in the suffering of others?)

Should I really not watch last night's Daily Show until I read the book? Assume high levels of spoiler avoidance. Or is it just a silly parody, like 'Ron turns out to be Dumbledore, and Voldemort is really just Karl Rove' stuff?

I think you're safe. Jon Oliver said that Harry is decapitated by Ron, who turns out to be Voldemort's robot son. Plus, he's in costume and you don't want to miss that.
