I think there may be an LJ icon somewhere in this comic.

I've been trying to ac-centuate the positive. But right now it's more work than I'm prepared to do. So if you can't say somethin' nice...

PS: 511 suggests that in order to get from work to the concert tomorrow that I take Cal Train to "Cal Train Station--San Francisco" (whichever one that is) and then take Muni to the Civic Center BART.
Why does this sound like a poor idea?

Well, the Caltrain station in question is at 4th and King. The other stop that it could possibly be isn't anywhere near MUNI underground. If that stop is even still active.

Where is the concert?

(The problem with taking Caltrain to something is that you've generally got to take it back. I remember hating Caltrain fiercely, when I'd *just* miss the 10:00pm train, and have to wait until the 11:55 train to get back to Burlingame.)

I'd offer to let you crash at my place, but I'm not going to be home tomorrow night.

The concert is at Great American Music Hall. And I'd accept the offer, but I'd have to fight the traffic to get to work in the morning.

Heh.

I almost took a studio in the building next to GAMH. (Seriously! I didn't - it was a nicotine-stained rabbit warren of a building, and the unit in question was at the bottom of two lightwells with no bathtub and a not-so-sturdy-looking door - but if I hadn't met Peggy when I did, I'd probably have gone for it.)

Oh duh. No, I *wouldn't* have to worry about traffic. Because I'd be taking *BART and CalTrain*. No brain, no brain at all.

That actually probably is the best way to get to the GAMH from Mountain View, except I'd be concerned about getting back. Check setlists from the concert in other cities and the CalTrain schedule to make sure you can get back.

Concert starts at six-thirty, and last CalTrain departure is midnight from 4th and King, so I should be okay.
