Appeal to the collective LJ mind

So would Monday be an *excellent* day to go to the movies and avoid feeling like herded cattle surrounded by thousands of screaming kids, or is Christmas Eve in fact the very day when parents children bored teenagers mafia hitmen ninjas pirates monkeys cabbage vendors and verily even hyper intelligent cats go to the cinema?

Y'know...I actually wouldn't know. My family never went to the theater on Christmas except once - my mum and I were in Colorado (which is like family-values-ville, or at least the part of it we were in was), visiting our Mormon relatives, all of whom were good and devout and never watched anything rated higher than PG-13 (despite the fallibility of our ratings system), and we got so sick of being exposed to so much wholesomeness that we went to see The Last Samurai on Christmas just for the relief. (Also because it was supposed to be good, but in large part because it looked good and bloody.)

If I recall correctly, the theater didn't seem too crowded, but then, see above about family-values-ville. Going on Christmas in California might yield different results, since more people there follow the religion of Mindless Entertainment...

(Also? If you get to see Sweeney Todd over Christmas, I will hate you forever and ever. Or at least very hard for five minutes, until I get distracted by something else.)

Also-also...boy, I'm feeling chatty this morning. WTF? I haven't even had my coffee yet...
