This was definitely a day of too much to do and none of it ending up getting done well.
I sold two of the four huge boxes of books, carting them through the rain both ways, and ended up with eighty or ninety dollars worth of credit in case I ever buy more books again.
We went to Biscuit and Blues, which was nice but expensive. I may go back when Lavay Smith is on the bill. And after I've bought more earplugs. I got to see about half an hour of the show, before I had to get the train.
We got in to the theater just in time to catch Speed the Plow, and I saw about ten minutes of the 'Write Like David Mamet' competition downstairs afterward.

Despite the fact that everything was fun, I'm feeling frustrated. On top of it all, my trunk is molding and my driver's side door is soaked through because I failed to ride the guys at the auto shop about the leaking on both of those. And for some reason there is very little that is more infuriating than driving down 101 and getting dripped on. My clothes are soaked through and bundled up waiting for the dryer to be free.

Maybe tomorrow I'll try to spend more time doing nothing at all.

The rest of the show was pretty awesome, despite being too loud. ;-) Since I was sitting alone after you bailed, when Earl Thomas hopped off stage to wander through the audience, he stopped and sang to me. ;-)

Lavay Smith will be on Valentine's Day.

I'm glad you came with me, and I'm glad you had fun. (:
And thank you for checking that!

I really did have a good time...

A little time spent doing nothing can be good for the soul.

It also sounds like fun. (Although I have to go to the market, get laundry done, run an ONS...)

*hugs*

For music listening earplugs, I highly recommend these: http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er20.aspx

Wow. Usually I just buy a bottle of the cheap orange foam ones.

These are well worth the $12. You can actually "hear" the music...it just turns down the volume.
