Yes. yes. Oh God, Yes.
Thanks to Uncle Neil for putting into words some of the things that made my head explode about Torchwood.
(And yet, I still have episode one of series two on the TiVo waiting for me to watch it.)

XD Yaaaaaaaaaaay Neil!
...You know, what really makes me sad is that yay, finally a series that has all manner of sexuality amongst the characters... but they all act like total morons. WTF. I've read fanfic by horny teenagers with more coherent characterization.

Episode 1 of series 2 is fucking hot. There might have been things wrong with it, but I didn't notice, because it was FUCKING HOT.

Series 2, thus far, has been MUCH stronger than series 1.

I am fully prepared to call series 1 'growing pains'. (:

For some reason we don't get BBC America and so are left out of Torchwood season 2.

However, when we were able to watch Torchwood Season 1, I termed it: "Torchwood, protecting the Earth from Aliens, and also from Us."

Torchwood HR Difficulties

Part of the problem is that Torchwood has no oversight (beyond the government, etc...) so nobody has the authority to, yanno, audit and enforce standards or, heaven forfend, fire someone for reasons other than "I won't shag Jack Harkness."

The other part of the problem is their hiring practices. Stumble in to their seekrit base. If you live out the week, you're hired.

But, yes, thus far, season two is leaps better. Also, more of teh hawt gay secks.
