Not in the same day, no. Musharraf has not resigned; he is still the Pakistani president, and, from the analysis looks to remain so. He still has power (and powerful friends), although not as much as before. The powerful friends might fix that situation for him though. From the sound of things, exactly how much authority Parliment and the Presidency have outside the capital is uncertain.
Castro's days are certainly numbered. I'm surprised he didn't die in office: the old goat. Guess he trusts his brother enough not to screw things up.
