cyrano: (Still Flying)

Don't know when I'll be back again

So. That was Virgin American on the phone.
Apparently, the reason that American Airlines had no idea where my bag was located was because it had gone to DCA on Virgin. It arrived sans routing tag (that sticky tape that they put on the handle of your luggage that says "TPA--DFW--SFO" and has your unique luggage identifier on it), and the nice lady at Virgin ended up calling the Walgreen's from my prescriptions and asking them to call the number in my records.

Which explains much of the confusion surrounding the phone call last night.

And after only five minutes on hold (last time, at two in the morning, it was half an hour) I have called American Lost Bags and updated them.

Ironic icon choice for the win.

You undoubtedly win the Icon Award today. I hope you also get your luggage back today.

It would certainly be nice. But I don't think I'll hold my breath.
Luckily, I did some shopping yesterday.
PS: Go Stars!

*shakes head* What a story. Hooray for kind and helpful airline employees.

Wow! What a royal cock-up by American!

Sounds like Virgin American is an outfit worth throwing some business to though. Should they survive -- which is not guaranteed.
