Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle is finally out on DVD. And it is mine. And I am watching it.
And everyone. Is So. Fucking. Witty.
I still have no idea what accent JJL is using--it's certainly not New Jersey, and it's no part of New York that I recognize--but I forgive her.

from what I remember of that movie, JJL is actually basing her performance on audio recordings of Dorothy. So it's kind of like the Kennedys, whose accent is unplaceable.. or as a friend from boston said when I asked, Dude, NOBODY in mass has that accent, it's just THEM..

I always figured it was the "i just had a stroke" accent.
