ZDashAmber looked at the Pirate Fair webpages and said something awful.
She said "You know, I bet Airship Pirates would be fun here."
So now I'm trying to (a) figure out what a good costume for that would be (b) figure out how I can afford to construct such a thing (c) figure out how I'm going to wear the damned thing in June in Vallejo.
So. Um. Tamago? Do you want a commission? (:

Well, what I want to know is, how the heck would airship pirates get from one airship to another? The gondola being underneath and the bulging sides preventing the airships from getting too close.

Gas-powered grappling hooks with retracting lengths.
You fire, catch the gondola, jump and retract at the same time.
The big problem is the balance between a Lift that's armored enough to keep it from being easily pierced and crashing to the ground (the defenders all die and the attackers get no booty) and so armored that it can't lift off.
Very tricky.
