Spring it is a coming on

So I asked Debbie to get a pair of resin cast antlers I could wear on my head for Beltane when she made an order from Scarecrow. Alas, she though Beltane was the one in Autumn. So I'm poking around all the poncy sites that sell fairy wings and stuff hoping that one of them might give me a lead for a set I can get by Saturday.
I call upon the the powers of LiveJournal, much like I used to call upon the powers of Elbows before I moved my email: anybody got any suggestions?

My friend purchased an actual deer antler set (with skull bit still attached) for our last costumey pagan-ish revel. She sawed the antlers off the skull and base, then Superglued them to a plastic headband which she hid beneath her own hair. I am regrettably ignorant of Celtic mythos and deities, and so can't remember which one she was portraying. Onc could presumably also drill through them and string them on elastic.

Sadly I don't know where she got the deer parts, and one might have moral objections to real deer parts. (She would have preferred naturally discarded antlers, but all of those seem to be very large things too big for her delicate little head.)

things to use

sculpy? fimo? tree branches? paper mache' over wire?.... there is this great plastic stuff that softens in hot water and hardens at room temp.. (mind out of the gutter! hehe ; ) but I can't remember what it's called. You can find it in craft stores. People make jewelry out of it... or how about fabric? foam rubber? liquid latex? .. heh, sounds like a fun project. :) I hope you post pix..
