Jon Stewart says there's talk that 40% of evangelicals are planning to vote Democratic in the presidential election.
Ralph Reed says the polls totally don't support that, and most of the polls say that McCain is getting 60% of the vote.

The polls say McCain is getting 60% of the overall vote or of the Evangelical vote?

Of the evangelical vote. Which would leave 40% for Obama and 'Other' and 'Undecided'.

I do note that many of the younger Evangelicals cite poverty as their main moral concern, which seems to me to be the issue most coming to the fore in the country. Among Democrats, at any rate.

Among classical Democrats, anyway. It seems that recently there's been a lot of 'working class' folks who feel the party has hung them out to dry. And I'm not entirely certain they're wrong in that assessment.
