I can't drive fifty-five
So I survived the driving session. Tom is so much better than the AAA guy. But gnash expensive.
Tom says:
Nothing surprising, and generally better news than I expected.
We got to the end of Algorithm game's third arc. We all died.
Um. I got mail from the Social Security folks who mentioned, as an aside to telling me how much of a stipend I'd get if I retired right now, that before I moved to California I made between $200 and $4000 a year. How the hell did I survive?
I'm sure something more exciting has happened recently. I got through the 'Deads' in my CD ripping. (Dead Can Dance, Dead Kennedys, Dead Milkmen, Dead Or Alive.) Yeah, that's probably one of my big accomplishments. I got the rose planted, thanks to Tersa's gentle nudging, and it seems to be quite happy.
And I'm almost unstressed and unnauseous enough to eat now. So, dinner time.
Tom says:
- I have a lot of 'natural talent'.
- My estimate of being better than 20% of the drivers out there is likely conservative.
- I could probably take the test today and pass.
- I take left turns too soon and speed up too early.
- I'm very aware of my surroundings.
- I'm too timid about 'creeping'.
Nothing surprising, and generally better news than I expected.

Re: The rose bush
It was looking kind of dried out on the larger of the two stalks this morning when I went out to water it. You may want to consider pruning it back to be the same size as the smaller sub-branch, if it's having problems with the loss of root system during the move. (Thought I'd mention it here since you commented on the bush and it reminded me of the observation made this morning :
Baby you can drive my car!

Go you! And yay for useful critiques.
