She grabbed a razor for me

Got a bit of a late start at work today. Somebody broke into my car (again). They tossed it pretty effectively, leaving the spare change and the stack of CDs, breaking my window, dismantling the plastic casing around the CD player and then stealing the face. Just the removable face.
This time it happened in the parking lot, thus guaranteeing that there is nowhere I feel safe parking any more.
Kevin's going to look at the window tomorrow to see what he can do.
I would like to go home now.

Shit! That really sucks. I hate coming back to a car and finding the window broken. I'm very sorry.

It looks like most of the damage is getting cleared up with minimal fuss. It's just the pricetag on it that's trouble. q:

Sorry darlin. We have had a rash of break-ins down here too. The officer that came when Mike's car got broken into gave some pretty good advice on the subject:

1) Always take the face off your sterio if it is removable.
2) If at all possible park away from easy access/get away locations like hills, trails or near the street.
3) Don't leave anything valuable or that may even look valuable in visable range in your car.

I hope your car insurance covers this, if not check with your house/renters insurance, it's amazing what they cover.

*hugs* don't let the criminals get you down.

Yeah. When I was parking on the street, I was pretty anal about taking off the face plate. Now, I guess I'm always pretty anal about it.
Car insurance won't cover it. I'm not sure if I have renter's insurance myself--I'll poke the housemate about it.

I'm pretty sure they will, it's normal to have that as part of the insurance policy. I hope it is. *hugs*
