I am very nearly speechless. I have no idea how to define a 'crime' if I cannot use the phrase 'a violation of the law'. This, friends, is my FUCKING DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE. The people who are, nominally, in charge of administering Justice. Or, with this administration, time and time again, in charge of making sure that nobody gets prosecuted for anything.
Further head exploding news is that he also doesn't plan to review any of the appointments made to the Justice Department under the 'Are you Republican enough to Love President Bush in this department?' qualifications test. Because "Two wrongs don't make a right".

While appalling, I was not in the least surprised by this. We haven't had a justice dept. for over seven years. Ashcroft was a little nuts, but he was a golden boy compared to what followed. Gonzales has to go down in legal history as the sleaziest, most dishonest and corrupt AG in American history.

That's been the story of this whole Administration - no regulation, no oversight and no accountability. I believe that if the people are stupid enough to vote for McCain, this country could be headed further down that road.
