I appear to be growing more capable of taking things out of boxes and turning them into edible stuff.

However, I am still lacking in the skill of moving that edible stuff from the sauce pan to my plate.

I hear you. Whenever Brian makes something it looks like it came from a restaurant. Whenever I make something, it's usually tasty but it looks like random glop.

No, no, I meant more along the lines of "Clean up on aisle two, Billy." With rice and chicken scattered across the stovetop, the counter and the linoleum.

Ahh. Well, yes, I've done that too. Remind me to tell you sometime of when I managed to dump an entire cheese-and-jalapeno pizza into someone's lap as a waitress. (Fortunately I made it into a joke, and they were a good sport about it.)

The secret is good utensils and keeping the plate close to the pots and pans. :) Still doesn't work 100% with me, I'm clumsy, but it helps :)

Two options:

1) Spoon + plate in close proximity of saucepan.

2) Eat directly from saucepan.

#2 has the advantage of leaving you with fewer dishes to wash afterwards.
