Would you give a second thought, would you ever give a damn?

Congratulations! Your party is in a bind, they forgot to write a platform, and it's due tomorrow. So they asked you to whip something up and give it to the press in the morning.
Today's IFIAYAQD question is: What is your platform? Tell me about what your party stands for, and what they believe in, because this year you get to decide.

Milk n'Cookies (or snack of choice for those who have dietary needs or restrictions that preclude either or both) and Naps!

Things were much simpler when we were in kindergarten - we had milk n cookies and naps and we were better and happier for it.

The only other option is the Beer n Titties platform.

Honesty To A Fault. "Yes, I did have sex with that woman." "Yes, I did choose my running mate because of her ovaries rather than her qualifications." "Yes, I did take that bribe." "Yes, this suit is boring." "Nah, I just don't like the flag pins."

It wouldn't be any less messy, but at least we wouldn't have to hear all the scandals about the cover-ups, or the thinly-veiled excuses. Plus, the debates would be soooooo much more entertaining.

My platform would be made of redwood with a nice protective coat of urithane. Handrails for safety and leaning against when drunk would be good. Maybe 5'x 8' in dimension, big enough for an intimate gathering....

...oh, you meant political platform. That's different.

How about: 1) No lying, ever. 2) Term limits for everyone. 3) No corporation or special interest (and all interests are special) lobbying, ever. 4) No personal donations to candidates, ever. 5) Balanced budget, always. 6) Line Item Veto, forever. 7) Halve the number of people working in government, immediately. 8) Cut the hours of the remaining employees by half, immediately. 9) No whining, ever.

Special Interest Item: 10) Outlaw public school districts.
