My life, an updatey thing

I had a wonderful vacation. I got to see people I haven't seen in quite some time, and somebody I saw last month, and people I had never seen before. I was terribly pleased with everybody, and I think that the LJ people who had never met me thought I was okay.

I got home, and Princess Elektra sent me the most wonderful card ever. If I can figure out how to scan it in, I want to share it with all of you.

And then ZDashAmber got me a birthday present--the second book of Runaways. I really loved the storyline (MNR, Ebonlock? It reminds me a lot of Paranormals in places) but whoever took over the art in episode #11 has earned my disapproval. One of the things I like about the story is that it's about kids--kids from 11 to 17. The new artist doesn't know how to draw kids, so they (especially Arsenic) are starting to look like adults with hypershortened bodies.
But! Cloak! And Dagger! Snarky comments! This is definitely starting to deliver on the potential shown in the first book.

I've been in the office for over an hour and I'm still in a good mood.

I said 'squee'. And then I made the housemate read it.

*giggles*

I hope you can scan it in so everyone can enjoy it!

The art on Runaways is variable, but Alphona comes back later on, if I recall correctly, and handles most of it with the occasional fill-in until being replaced when Vaughan concludes his run.

Oh good.
It's not enough to make me stop reading, but it's .... unfortunate.
