Swingin' New Year's

If you have tickets already, or if you were thinking of going to Swingin' New Year's at Bimbo's (with several guests including Lee Press On) please let me know?
I'd like to go but I don't think I'd like to go alone.
Also, I should find out what 'cocktail attire' entails.
EDIT: It means I wear a dark suit. I think I can manage that.

You twit. I go to click the link and I'm all, "Dude! I've actually heard of some of these people...and they're ones I'd like to see!" Except I CAN'T because SOME of us live in ALASKA where the CLOSEST THING to LIVE MUSIC is somebody's WANNABE PUNK BAND..

You know, you should move to California. I'd be happy to take you to see some great local sound. I think you'd love Biscuits and Blues. Matt Nathanson is a heck of a live performer, and if you haven't heard him do "Living on a Prayer" you're missing out. Plus, we occasionally get some bigger venue talent come through. Oh, and did I mention the food? There's this Ethiopian place I think you'd really love. They serve a honey wine that even I might drink. I ought to get going--we're headed to the farmers' market to pick up some fresh produce and grass fed beef at reasonable prices. I'm going to need a jacket, though, because it's a little chilly--nearly fifty-five degrees.

I second the "move to California" option. In fact, I think you should get a house with a spare bedroom so that my hubby and I can snowbird there too.

Also, sometimes CJ can be an ass, what with the "it's a little chilly" crap. But if the Ethiopian place he's talking about is Zeni's, then it's really really good.

He's totally being an ass. We need to come up with an appropriate means of punishing him.

The obvious punishment for the "chilly" comment is that we'll have to use him to warm us up. Enforced snuggling, with our cold feet on him. He'll also have to use his hands to take care of any chilly spots we might have, even going so far as rub the skin gently to help it warm up.

Of course, I did see several other comments in his response that warrant punishment, too.

Somehow I don't think this would be a difficult punishment to enforce. However, given his references to food, I think we need to make him cook for us. Several nights in a row. Possibly wearing nothing but an apron. :D

I dunno... what if we get hungry while we're waiting for the food to cook? I think we should nibble on him while he's cooking. (Of course, then the "nothing but an apron" part is a necessity. I don't want to nibble on a T-shirt.)
