Gipsy part of town

Thanks and mad props to my friend who reminded me that the nonexistent or useless internet that I grew up with has changed a little since then, and has aspects of a useful research tool, even for more in-depth research. There is no need to go to the library and hit the stacks as my first step.

Unless you want to. I deeply regret that I no longer have enough free time to go hit the stacks looking for one topic and then spend a couple hours engrossed in topics stored nearby.

Well yes, I said 'need', not 'want'. There's still something visceral about hauling a huge stack of books to a table with uncomfortable chairs and setting up a base of operations there. Also, there's still more depth of information at a good library.
However, I find it just as easy (if not more so) to find nearby topics to distract myself with when I'm online.
