Tonight we saw the first half of Rough Science, in New Zealand. BBC/PBS reality television, where they take five scientists and put them down on the southern island and give them challenges to solve to collect gold.
I have a huge crush on Ellen, the botanist who reminds me of a cross between Liralen and Hallie. We're convinced she's the only thing keeping the team alive, and her Plant Powers are mighty and awesome to behold.
Yay for free streaming Netflix!

Not a contest. Just challenges. Half a dozen smart people panning for gold, doing science, and building a waterproof tent to sleep in. (:

What impressed me was how *professional* her stuff looked. Waterproofing a tent, making coal tar is impressive but the result was kind of patchy and half assed. While that rope she was twining looked damn near perfect, despite being a sticky mass of fiber the day before.
