I'm really fond of a lot of the bluegrass on here. Right now the Hayseed Dixie track is my favorite, but Obadiah Parker is right up there.

I just like anything Spankers. :) And they're playing in Dallas on the 3rd.

Though Hayseed Dixie most always puts a smile on my face.

Oh...check out Mount Righteous (they're in the iTunes store). I think you might like them.

I'm curious to hear what you think of them. Went to one of their shows last night. Had a blast.

How was there no Richard Cheese anywhere herein?

Inquiring minds want to know why lounge was underrepresented! :)

Mostly? Because it didn't fit the folky-bluegrass theme I was going for. It's the same reason Lee Press-On didn't make the cut. (Brass is very acoustic...)
If I didn't have Parker's version of Hey Ya stuck in my head, RC's might have made it in.

Well, at least you got Hayseed Dixie.

In fact, that is currently my second favorite track on the album. (A friend of mine showed me the video for the original, and now when I listen I picture Alice with a pluck bass and messy eye makeup.)
