My two favorite phrases for the day:

Well, if it'll keep all the.... crazy people from.... getting away with stuff, then I guess it's okay.

True Love only comes once in your life. You can have bacon seven times a day if you want.

I disagree with the second one. True love can come more than once, and if you have bacon seven times a day you'll have a heart-attack. Which I suppose doesn't actually *prevent* you from doing it.

Given the number of times they've promised "No really, *this* abrogation of your personal, civil, and human rights will stop the bad guys!", I'd say there's not a lot of truth to the first statement.

Ah. I didn't realize we were talking about the first one on a civil rights level. I read it more as a personal "Well, if I lock my doors..." type of thing.

Very little in this world will fully stop the crazy people, because they're so much more creative and passionate about getting away with stuff than the sane people are about stopping them.

Unfortunately, it appears to be less about locking your doors (metaphorically speaking) as painting your car orange and then writing "Do not break into my home" on it in black sharpie.
