Aaand more advice

I waited too long to get a room for the trip to Ashland in October, and my usual place is sold out. Please feel free to inundate me with suggestions for alternate plans.

EDIT: WooHoo!
I called the hotel and said "Hey I'm a regular customer and I waited too long to get a room. Website says 'you no go' and I was hoping you could give me a different answer."

We now have our kitchenette from the fourth to the tenth.

Will you have a car? Because if you will, parking early in the main festival garage is easy, and I usually stay at the Super 8 that's right by the freeway. It's cheap (for Ashland) and clean.

I can't imagine how we'd get to Ashland without a car, even paying through the nose to fly into Medford. I feel very foolish--I've stayed at La Quinta three years running, and they have a little kitchenette and everything.

Ahhh, that's why you asked. If the place we went to last time isn't an option, then I'm fine with most others. Just stay away from the $300 a night rooms, please.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express just off the southern exit of I5. We got it through Hotwire.com, and it was fairly inexpensive as these things go. Clean, quiet, but get your breakfast elsewhere.

WooHoo! I say, and then say it again. I have my cozy kitchenette on the north side of town reserved. *glee* Kudos to the La Quinta staff.
