I can't live like this forever

It has been noted that recently this space has become more a home for a recording of events and less a conduit for discussing my inner life. This is probably true.

This month I started working at John's telephony business doing web development (which right now means frantically reading up on php and drupal), and tomorrow is the first income I've received since January, and the first income from a job since August of last year. I'm still inbetween, though, and stressing over work and school (which starts on Thursday) while at the same time stressing about having limited finances for things like textbooks, bills, and meals that will be eaten at drive throughs as I jet from campus to campus.
I'm also a little stressed about the state of ACNW's games. We're past the deadline and, last I knew, had about half of the games we needed to make it work. I seriously considered the idea of volunteering to run another game before I came to my senses.
There's a lot of stress, but at least this is stress from motion rather than from continued inertia. I'm glad I'm finally making progress, but I think I'd like it we were already about a month into the future, when I picture things as being a little smoother.

Also, I'm learning how to drive in the Detroit Metro area. The key is to make your movements firm and steady, and to communicate to others that you have a crappy car and not only do you not mind collisions but right about now you just might be looking forward to one.

I wouldn't stress out too deeply about the ACNW games. You are running 1 game, which is better than a lot of people. A few more people will pony up their 1 games, and between those and those of us who run lots, it'll all balance out. :)

So this is not too unusual? Good. I confess to not having paid a lot of attention to it the past couple of years.
I'd come to Edgefield just to hang out and drink with whomever we could lure there if there were no games, but it's not the same without them. (:

I'm told Boston is worse for driving.

The key to Detroit driving is that everyone is CERTAIN that they are more important than you. You can either drive aggressively enough to make them question that, or you can get used to backing off and letting them go ahead of you.

From anecdotal evidence I am fairly certain that Boston is worse. Miami is also worse, but for completely different reasons.
